WTB: Red Wenger Business tool number 60

Ive got about all the SAKs I was after in my collection, except a wenger business tool.

Im looking for a new or like new number 60 as it has blade and scissors, and red because of the iconic color.

Will pay $, or trade custom work.

I see a black number 60 and a red number 45. I wonder how hard changing stapler 'scales' would be.

If I remember correctly, those are not only scales, but more of shells and not easily removed.
I have no BT anymore, I guess one went to Tosh and one to Bmot, maybe they could check?

Hmm I could probably just go with the black one and not fiddle with it. I dont see a big demand for business tool mods.

This tool is more kin to a stapler than a SAK but it is well made and has that neat gadget feel.

There are a few things though I do not like and quite possibly others as well. Each time to use the stapler you have to depress the staple release mechanism. That is a pain if doing several in a row. The "tools" on the bottom open with the help of the black lever on each side of the tool. Sometimes it is easy to forget and can be dangerous trying to pry open the tool. The scissors work very well but the bulkiness in the hand means it is unwieldy to use for any length of time.

Overall I believe this tool is overpriced and that is what hampered its sales. Collectors not included. I have had 4 of these and still have 2 after gifting a couple to family members.

BTW, I just took a look a the covers I do not see where or how to take them off.

Problem: Wrong audience, it should be called StudentTool because they have their office on the go. However, students cannot afford it. Individual tools are way cheaper...

Yup, only ships to Germany though. But if I dont find a better option Lowtech offered to be a forwarder.

It certainly did Thomas, I just been to check and I can't see how the "Shell" is removed. However I did see that I'm missing one..... The 55!! (scissors, staple remover - NO Blade) So now the hunt is on to track that down and preferably in anthracite too!!

Just a quick update to anyone else who's interested in buying the business tool

On the international site page it says he only has silver. I emailed to ask about red, and if he has that I'll for sure snag one.

Then the only other wenger I'd want would be a giant.. but Im not sold on 'needing' it, but.... it would be great to hang on the wall in a frame.

I thought this was going to be a right pain - to the extent of not wanting to use it - However after quite a bit of use I have found the button is exactly where my thumb (or finger) is located when you use the stapler - so is not really a problem

Dangerous - as in you may damage the tool - or dangerous as in you may hurt yourself. Either way - I don't agree have not had a problem here.

Have not used the scissor over a period of time - However they are really excellent scissors
