That's a very desireable multitool, but I can't seem to come up with enough hot air to tell you how worthy I am.

Nice tool indeed!

I agree with what has already been said here about more deserving members here winning this tool, but what I would like to know is what would it cost me to buy one from you like that? Pm me if you don't want to discuss things like that on the board Kwakster, but I am really interested in it man.

Maybe after this Kwakster would have a giveaway, to the least deserving guy to have a custom multitool, might have a chance in winning  :D

I would love to be the recipient of this awesome tool.  Your work is first rate and very detailed.  A trait that I admire and try to exercise myself as often as I can.
Thanks, Alfred

Man o man , Kwaka that thing is beautiful . I could write a essay as to why I would like that loverly bit of kit. It is unique , stunning & clearly made by a true pro. But as much as it pains me to bail out I think Flash or Mike deserve that wonderful "Kwakaman" more than I do . Good luck choosing a winner Kwakster tough job. It is terrific having you aboard Kwaka . I look forward to picking your brains when I get into modding my LM's   :pok: :D & thanks for the brilliant giveaway mate.

You are truly generous.  I am throwing my name into the hat, though I am humbled.  Why I would want this (deserve is a bit strong) is for work.  I am a team leader on a SWAT team, with a crappy knife.  I have a tendency to buy things on the cheap, partly my fault, partly my wife reigning me in.  I am referred to as the gadget guy on the team because I try to carry everything I could possibly use, this would lighten the load.  I would love to say more but again am humbled by others so I will leave it at that.

I am bowing of of this one and withdrawing my name for consideration. There are guys here who put it on the line every day and I deeply respect them for that. So I am removing my original post as well so as not to confuse things.

Good luck guys and thanks for everything you do.

I don't deserve it but would love to have it since my Wave and my Charge ALX were both stolen out of my tool box at work. Now I have to EDC my Blast but that is fine because I love it too but miss the one hand openers.

I would only like to be considered as I have never owned a Leatherman, nor really handled any MT of that class or price. =P

Nor does my job description put any such tools to the test. As such I have never been able to justify the cost.
Got those frog legs.

Kwakster I am very proud of what you are doing, and only being in the forums a little over a week,I spent over 30yrs in the USAF,and most of the time I was an inspector to make sure that the aircraft was exceptable for flight, and during that time I came to be connoisseur of fine machinery and tools, and I keep reading these forums to find the perfect multitool, and your description of the Wave with the cm154 blade, gut hook (I love to hunt),and hand fitted sounds like the perfect tool to me.

Thanks again

I'm not entering, but I apologize for being off-topic  ;) To all the professional and hobbyist hunters on this forum, I'm just curious how effective the guthook on a Leatherman would be during hunting. Isn't it a little dinky? :)

No offense but isn't a bad idea to be using a multitool to gut an animal. Think of the blood you'll get on the tool, it will be harder to clean than a regular fixed blade knife, etc. But on the bright side it is innovative.

Now i wouldn't say the Wave is more durable than the Charge models.
The way i see it is that while all the inside stuff is comparable, the difference comes from the titanium sideplates which help to transfer lateral forces exerted on the knives, saw and file onto the frame itself.
On the Wave these lateral forces are only restrained by 4 broadhead screws with quite thin threads.

How well would the gut hook work as a seat belt cutter?  If it does work that would eliminate yet another tool.
