I actually ended up going with my Diesel today while we worked at our house.  It came in handy a couple times too.

Sent from my XT901 using Tapatalk

Why?  :twak:
I just felt the Diesel was a better carry for potential dirtier work.  Plus I missed it yesterday.....and didn't want to risk dirtying up or damaging the Swisstool as I may end up selling it ;)

Sent from my XT901 using Tapatalk

Which version SwissTool is it?

The regular one I believe.  Both PE and SE blades.

I was in Bristol all day so didn't take anything that could get me in trouble. It's safe here at home though

Bought a reclaimed oak tabletop at the recycling centre today and have been sawing it down to size for an extra bit of horizontal space in our tiny flat.

I used the Spirit to wheedle out a few stubborn screws, and then used the philips to install a new towel rail in the bathroom.

Ha! I never think to take pics while I'm working really - I'm a bit of a delicate flower and get very stressed doing DIY so I don't want to add to the potential meltdown.

I love these Swisstools!  I have never handled one, and haven't been able to find anyone in my area that has one, but I've carried Victorinox since 1983 and plan on getting one sooner than later!  Beautiful workmanship from what I'm seeing and hearing.

the Swisstool is indeed a great piece of work, but be warned that it is bulky and heavy, if that matters to you.  I loved mine, but I just couldn't get past the weight of it after a while.  The Spirit is much lighter, and just as versatile though.

At 290 grams it is not a real lightweight.
But Size/weight/functinality is excelent and i think together with the Spirit it is the best on the market.

My Swisstool X never really weighed me down. Only in thin sport shorts you notice that it is definatly in your pocket. But in jeans and pants i never had problems with it.

It is 50 grams heavier than the wave. But it is also slimmer than the wave.

It biggest competitor the Leatherman Supertool 300 is much bigger due to the rolled handles. It is also heavier.
