hey, that looks familiar! :D

nice work, Kam. :tu: although the blade looks different in the first 2 pics than it does in the pics next to the Skeletool. did you swap blades? or create 2 different versions?

if you keep this up, pretty soon you'll have every possible tool combination from the Style CS/PS combinations...

Yea, at some point LM decided to remove the two holes on Style CS's blade.

interesting... the nail nick is in a different spot as well; it looks like it matches the blade used in the Squirt series. I hope they stick with that blade; the location of the nail nick makes for easier opening IMO.

I personally don't see the point of the entire Style line, when Squirt line has a lot more to offer and only weights about 0.5oz more.

Weight and the distribution of that weight. I have a style and a dime (gerber  version of squirt) and the style is much better on a keychain because of its weight & slim profile. But for pocket carry the dime gets the action. So it depends on carry method.

Edit: nice mod btw. You skeletool family is growing by the minute....have you thought about getting a mut?

I personally don't see 0.5oz makes any difference one way or any other, but if the tool is carry out in open visible, I guess the style looks a little cooler.

Thanks.
I often have the urge to collect the entire skeletool line, but in my mind none of other tools in that family capture the true spirit of skeletool, which both handles are curved to increase comfort (I know some of you hates it). Other tools like MUT, Signal and Style have straight handles with a carabiner added on one end. They might look like skeletool but they don't feel like one in hands. Make sense?

Yes. Mr. Skele has a very unique feel. I will be getting myself a SS one for my bday next month. its so purdy  and the style def wins in cool factor vs squirt. That's why I chose the dime. Same functions but the dime just LOOKS better. It's been 8 years....can we get a skeletool with scissors added now? If I can do it I KNOW  Leatherman can.

They can but they don't listen to their customers. They rather put out the Skeletool SX that no one bought and no one cares about. I have literally seen TWO people on the forum with a Skeletool SX!

I was over on BF and was in the Spyderco section. People were talking about the salt line and a fixed blade that would be good. Sal Glesser  (Owner of Spyderco) is on the forum and read their request. He talked to two individuals in the thread and found out what they needed in the knife. He personally made two prototypes and is sending them off to them for testing. Now THAT is how a company should be run. He also has seen all the deep carry clip stuff going on and everyone was asking him to do a deep carry clip. What do you know. A few weeks later he announces he is working on a hour glass deep carry clip. If only Leatherman would do the same.

Now that's customer serveice. It's funny you say that about the sx, because every review on the skeletool has comments with people asking for it with scissors....no one is asking for the file on the side

Agreed!  :tu: I just wish they'd ditched the file on the PS4 instead of the awl and mini driver, and modified the cap lifter so it actually lifted caps  :D

Going back to what we were talking about in the thread. Leatherman needs to listen to what the MAJORITY of customers want.

I'm going to stop talking about this though as this conversation has been had countless times and it always ends the same way.

I agree with cap'n: LM doesn't seem to care about their customers very much. They keep producing bullsmurf like the rev and signal with cheap plastic accessories and here it is years after the Rebar/ST300 and they still haven't upgrading the smurfing Wave

And YES, I know I've been particularly hard on LM (no smurf right!) but they need a swift kick in the ass. I think the old man (Tim) has gone senile if you ask me...
