Stripped hole on my T10
on: May 20, 2015, 06:22:09 PM
Well I couldn't decide if I liked the pocket clip or not and now I don't have to.  I stripped the hole on one of my T10's.  I'll try some plumbers tape or blue loctite or maybe even some epoxy I have.  I usually carry this light in my shirt pocket and couldn't decide if I liked the clip or not.

Bummer. Can you use a longer screw and put a nut on the back to hold it in place?

You never know, but I doubt plumber's tape will work.  I'd have higher hopes of some blue thread lock though. :tu:

Ive done repairs to this sort of thing when I tap holes in the alox scales and they strip out.  What I have done is fill with jb weld, then drill and re-tap and it works as good as ever.

Or actually if you dont need to remove it again, fill it with jb weld then put the screw in and let it dry then you dont have to tap it.

Having the pocket clip permently attached is not a bad thing.  It also solve my indecision  :D
