Wenger / Delemont questions
on: July 31, 2015, 02:39:04 AM
Do any of the Delemont SAKs come with the combo caplifter tool? If not is there any old Wengers that do?

Wenger/Delemonts can be modded like Vic SAKs right?

Want to make a 85mm custom.

It doesn't look like any of the Vic Delmont's do.  A few of the old discontinued Wengers did, like the Waiter (that might be the Vic name).  Not really that popular a tool for either manufacturer.

Wenger had an Evo 63, similar to the Vic Waiter.  I actually think I have one somewhere, I'll see if I can find it.

Found it :)

I bought this one on ebay, with plans to tear it apart for a mod, so I like what you're thinking.  But I found I really like the Wenger can opener, and haven't wanted to drop the opener layer.  Not yet, anyway ;)

It needs a cleaning, but it's in good shape otherwise.  If you're interested,  I could send it your way.  Just let me know.

Or maybe I send you the rest of the parts and you do the mod.  :pok:

I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

We might be able to work that out...we've got a baby coming in a month or so, so that might hinder the timetable, but otherwise, I could put something together.  What's the rest of the mod supposed to look like?

I am thinking Main Blade, Combo Tool, Saw and Scissors. Phillips on the backside.

No hurry just something I thought would be a nice little SAK. Maybe after you get the new kid sorted.

Yeah, that sounds good.  In the meantime, if you feel like giving it a shot, or find someone else who wants to put it together, I can send you the one I have.  I'm good either way.

Didn't know about the Evowood 66

I have all those noted above, except the Evowood 66. I saw this on a European website several years ago. It was 85mm & came w/the following tools: blade, combi-tool, saw, & corkscrew.
