Insight on Sending Vic Back For Repair?
« on: May 29, 2015, 04:14:13 AM »
I have been thinking about sending my Tinker in for repair since it seems a little rough and banged up. Any guess on how long it might take to get back?

I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I used the Swiss warranty center, it took about 9 weeks. In the mean time i finally had a chance to use my other edc tools.

They replaced everything but kept the original handles.

This was an Swisstool X

I sent in a Deluxe Tinker with a broken small blade.  It came back completely refurbished with new scales in 5-6 weeks.  For an 18 yr old knife, it's now as good as new!

In England...

I sent my swisschamp in as the chisel was bad, big blade was bad, and scissors couldn't even cut hair...

I received it back with new scales, tweezers, toothpick, plastic corkscrew screwdriver, big blade, scissors and chisel, that cost me £10 and took 5 weeks
