out of the ordinary multitool usages of note
on: June 02, 2015, 11:10:37 AM
I frequently use the fine end edge of the blade on either a Vic or SOG or Leatherman to half pills.  For me these are prescription pain meds that have side effects, usually making me too sleepy to do my job.  Gerbers or blades that are just ground on one side don't work well, you don't wind up with 2 even halves (or even quarters depending on the med and strength).
PM me if you want one of my kidneys for your SOG TiNi multitool.

OK, both my kidneys.

This is one of the many reasons I am not now nor ever have been a fan of chisel grinds, except of course on chisels.

I may be wrong about Gerbers or perhaps SOME Gerbers.  My Freehand I got yesterday the smooth blade has a very fine double beveled edge.  Of course the serrated is not but that wouldn't be useful for pill slicing anyway.

OK, both my kidneys.

Recently picked up a pill cutter for my Mom. She likes it. Gives you better control, and keeps the pieces from flying off to places unknown. Walmart and Walgreens carry them; probably most other drug stores also.
