Just received an email back from Victorinox-US in regards to a few of our questions:

Thank you for contacting Victorinox Swiss Army.

The Alox blue Pioneer will be available in Oct. It is a limited edition it will not be on our website but you can call in with the item # 0.8201.L15 to place a order. If you are seeing Pioneer with scissors it would not be available in the United States.

Please contact us if you need further assistance.



So, here in the US, if you don't have inside information, you won't be able to get a 2015 Alox Blue limited edition.  And the response regarding a Pioneer model with scissors is a bit nebulous.  We can't tell if anybody (ie, region/country) will have them.  I have sent a follow up email to Vic-US regarding the availability of the Blue Cadet...I'll update here when I hear back.

Sorry for the not-so-encouraging news, but wanted to share with everybody.

Most dealers are not as informed as we think/are.
He is probably not aware of the change next year and is just referring to what is available now.

That's what the email said.  And it doesn't say if it's available anywhere else.

I'm more than a bit surprised that Vic-US won't be advertising the 2015 Limited Editions and that they won't be listed on the website.  It's got me wondering if it's shortsighted planning/marketing on the part of Vic-US, or if this is something that Victorinox is directing.  Without more information from other regions/countries, we can't really tell.

Nonetheless, very disheartening for us in the US/North America to say the least!

Well this is the worst news I have gotten all week. WTF Victorinox. Why are you screwing the USA customers? I assume we are probably the largest market.  :think:

I never even knew Vic had a US website so no big deal, their biggest vendors here in the US will get the ltd edition 2015 knives I'd assume. Also, the scissors comment seems vague. He may not even know about that. I'm beginning to think those won't be out for some time... Don't know why it's so hard to offer/ produce even one model 93 with scissors... :think:
