How to get Victorinox warranty
on: August 02, 2008, 01:50:41 PM
I have a sak 1992 model officer knife with broken scissors. The screw has fallen out because the threads stripped and the spring is gone. How do I go about getting warranty? Do I go to my local camping store or do I contact Victorinox direct? :climber:

Contact your local distributor.  http://www.victorinox.ch/index.cfm?site=victorinox.ch&page=18&lang=E

They will arrange for repair.

Vic will take some time to pick up from your local retailer, plus you never know what else they might have added to the package before it got to you.

That said, I've never tried sending anything to Vic directly.

Thanks for all your' replies guys. I sent off the officer knife to the vic distributor this morning. Fingers crossed, it's a bit nerve racking sending a faithful friend off in the post not knowing if it'll come back. I wouldn't have any issues posting off the missus though! >:D

Well I got my sak back today all fixed and cleaned. It was exactly 7 days turnaround from sending it to getting it back. I coudn't be happier with the vic warranty service agent (sheldon and hammond) who were very polite and efficient.
The vic love affair grows deeper.... :salute:
