My first Soldier
on: June 12, 2015, 07:10:07 PM
Got mail today.  :mail:
A Vic Soldier 08 and a Vic Secretary from eBay.
The Secretary was a surplus. I don't care much about this series.

But the Soldier… the Soldier… the Soldier… sorry, I can't stop.  :D
It's my first one. Sure I already own a Pioneer. But IMHO the Soldier looks so much better.
I love it!
But the first thing it did: It hurt my thumb with the sharp side of the Can Opener.
Couldn't care less!

Congrats on the new Soldier!   :tu:

I have one stashed in a box...got it out recently and after a bit, decided I wanted to try a Pioneer (I want to keep the Soldier pristine for the time being).  I'm still waiting for a new black Pioneer in the mail...should arrive any time.

The Soldier got a mate
Reply #5 on: June 13, 2015, 07:34:47 PM
Just arrived: my first Wenger SI.  :mail:
It's from 1997, my service year and therefore almost like a birth year SAK.
There are only very marginal differences to the Soldier like the color tone of the shield and the opener layer tools stick out a bit more at the SI.

I can't wait any longer to take part in Wenger Wednesday!  :salute:

Another good one coSAK, looking forward to WW also, after an overseas shipment. The SI's are excellent.
