Anyone else have a lucky tool? Mine's a 9/16 flank drive snap-on combo wrench that was my grandpa's. My only other snap on lives on my keys because I'm scared to use it lol too expensive.Anyone else have a lucky one? Hammer, wrench, pair of pliers, zip tie maybe lol

Nope, not me. I couldn't say I have anything I consider a talisman. I don't seem to be able to "connect" with items in that way :shrug:

I've become quite attached to my current EDC of a Rebar, Micra and Rambler and consider those to be my lucky tools. They're always with me whether I'm home or out and about.

Outside of a rabbit's foot I had as a kid, i've never had anything I considered a good luck charm. As for the rabbit's foot, it obviously didn't do the rabbit any good.   :D

I always take my SI to job interviews with me and it's worked so far. I'm coming round to using talismans (talismi?) as a way to help me focus on what I want to achieve rather than imbuing the object itself with any power.

Here it is;

The best sporting clay shooter I knew always slowly lined up his shotshells exactly the same orientation in his over/under.  Ostensibly to get a granule more consistency but I think that was all in his head which made it no less real.  The ritual centered his focus.  Kind of like the movie gladiator when Russell Crowe rubs some dirt between his hands before battle or event.  As much mental device as superstition.
PM me if you want one of my kidneys for your SOG TiNi multitool.

OK, both my kidneys.

I always beloved my Sak camper was my lucky charm as it was my granddaddy and I carried it Dailey for nearly a decade but now it stays at home  as I use other SAKS more. And I've been fine without it so obviously it wasn't that lucky it just has sentimental value

Another example I thought of: when I was still working at the drag strip we would drag out the floor jack first thing every night we ran no matter what, even for streetbikes. One night I asked my boss(worst human being I've ever worked for) why we did it and he said it was his good luck charm. Not lucky per say but he told me whenever we didn't bring it out we always needed it or something went wrong on the line. I didn't realize at the time but I have the same idea when it comes to tools, you only need them when you don't have them

My parents bought me this SAK while in Switzerland,  I've carried it on days that maybe I needed a little luck. It has come through so far !!
