Finally found my old favourite knife

I've been trying to find this knife for a few years now, and thought it had gotten lost.
It's the first good fixed blade I ever had, a Buck 692 C, USA.
Well it may not be the best knife going, I am super stoked that I found it!!!!!!

This knife used to see a TON of use. It actually looked like crap, but my wife's step-dad cleaned it up, and sharpened it for me. That was around 4, maybe 5 years ago, not too long before it went into hiding.
Sooo happy to have found it!!!!
The date code being C, puts it at 1995, and I did get it before I graduated, which was in 2000.

I've been thinking about ordering a leather sheath for it.

. I like the nylon sheath, but I also love the classy look of a leather sheath.

Cleaned up real nice DMac. Good you found it and now time to put it back to work. Would make a good knife to take with you when you are out in the Jeep.

That looks a good general purpose sheath knife
I generally think of Buck fixed blades as having a clip blade, so never tried one (not a big fan of clip blades on the whole), but that looks like a knife I would be very happy to own and use regularly
Glad it turned up, and I hope it gives you the many years of active service it looks capable of

Looks great. Especially now it's shiny.
I reckon that looks to be a very practical blade as well.

I didn't think it would shine up that nice, but it pleasantly surprised me.
I generally don't carry a fixed blade, but this will see some belt time. In fact, it's on my belt as I type this. I'll probably carry it on the weekends, and definitely take it when I go out in the Jeep.
