LM Sheaths...

I carried my new Wave in the std. black leather sheath (available with blast) and I really like it.. It is small and you can't tell I am carrying a tool. Also I used to carry my SURGE with the leather sheath that came with the core.. The premium sheaths can be pretty bulky..

The downfall started (quite literally) as a result of tripping over one's shoelaces.
Velcro saves us from this fate.

they should give us the good old leather sheaths with snaps back,those cheapo leather ones with stretchy cloth arent so good at all.the elastic cloth will die,and seams rip apart etc.

or atleast give us the molle sheaths for same price,theyre much better quality.

I hear ya  I think that they need a good quality doesn't have to be the bes tbut a good quality sheath with eery LM I personally like velcro but it does tend to wear out rather quickly with any fair amount of use They should make nylon with snaps as well

i think...that thge old school sheaths migh have been even cheaper to make,but maybe the marketing departement has been think that the sheath has gotta be also modernized,make it atleast visually better looking and these are what they  came up with.

nylon aint so bad as material at all,and i think they do the velcro in those JUST because it is sewn on the fabric and it wont rip off from the nylon sheaths,but Snap buttons tend to loose from their surface,u know,the whole counter piece of button comes thru the nylon if it hasnt been assembled first into some thicker grid support cloth,which then should be stitched into the sheath.and that would consume material,time and effort,and therefor making the sheath would be more expensive too.so its just the velcro.IMO

to me personally any heavy dutu / military design sheath carry aint a problem at all,but i understand that some people just want a small,light nice looking sheath,instead of some  maxpedition molle sheath with adjusting straps,snaps,velcros,molle webbing,water drain holes etc.

If I can find the Surge sheath I might see if the velcro can be removed and a sturdy button installed.

While I do have snaps, I have a more cunning, (and expensive) idea in mind.

I was going to use the english Tenax fasteners, they're superficially similar to press studs, but don't come lose unless you pull on the release mechanism bit.
