Seeing that I just scored a mine probe set I thought I would celebrate with some photos of my current Gerber collection and a little focus on the military centric Gerbers.
Here is the first drawer that features most of the older MP 400/450/600 variants along with older Gerber models. I also have a few other models here that are closely related to Gerber.
The second Gerber drawer houses many other interesting Gerber multi-tools. This drawer features a lot of weird and wacky designs.
The next drawer down features most of Gerber's butter fly opening designs along with their pocket tool line.
The next drawer resides the Bear Gryll Gerber collection. I dare say I don't have many items left to acquire. At any rate, I don't think I could store another item in here to be honest.
The first of the two deeper drawers. This one is a catch all for related and unrelated items. Note that I couldn't store the BG Canteen in the above drawer...so its home is here. There is a mix of Gerber items and non Gerber items here.
So that is it for the Gerber collection in its entirety. Now I want to focus on a few Gerber kits etc geared towards the military.
First up, two OTIS weapon cleaning kits.
What makes these kits interesting to me is the inclusion of a BO Gerber. Here, the larger OTIS kit has front pocket for both the rods, and the Gerber. I wonder if the newer OTIS kits will feature the MP600 Sight tool?
The OTIS kit I have is good for most calibers.
Once opened, one side features a lot of goodies inside the mesh pocket and still inside its clear plastic bag.
The OTIS kit has this foam divider with individual cutouts for various tools. Here is both sides of the divider.
The other side of the OTIS kit features various cleaners, bottles, and wire ram rod.
The other smaller cleaning kit comes with an Ontario A.S.E.K. (Aircrew Survival Egress Knife) that resides in its own sheath on the back of the kit.
Here you can see that the main pouch has threeareas. One for the Gerber, one for the ASEK on the back, and a main compartment for the cleaning kit.
Once again, I can't help but wonder if future kits will feature the newer MP600 sight model mt?
The main cleaning kit comes in a separate nylon sheath. Here are the contents of that sheath.
Next up is the Gerber Cable Dawg. Can't talk about Gerber military gear with out adding this one. It would appear I may have version 2 which fixed a weakness in the RJ45 crimper.
Next up is a Gerber eFECT military maintenance tool.
Then of course there is the military MP650 Evolution kit. This military kit comes in a very large belt carried pouch. It features an MP650 with all exchangeable plier heads. Note there is even an EOD head in there.
This wouldn't be complete without the mention of two miltiary specific MP600s, You have the MP600 EOD with c4 spike, and the MP600 Sight tool.
So there you have it. My Gerber collection and some military focused Gerbers.
