I sent leatherman a detailed email explaining why the skeletool could use a updated version (since the last attempt was a sx) and how adding a scissors would be beneficial to the company considering it is something alot of the core fans have wanted. Almost every review mentions it lacks scissors and people comment how they wish it had them.

So I told them I can send it to them as a prototype. I don't want any credit for it I just want them to make the tool. They hit me the generic message "we'll forward this to our design team....we get many ideas every year...." and that was about a month or so ago and still no response.

The scales are faded quite a bit. Just from normal use. It has a combo edge blade on it that I got from another member here so it is rather unused. Again I can post pics when I get home for you.

I understand, I too accept nothing but perfection and I just can't find a good way to include scissors into Skeletool.
So I carry a Micra with it, so far is working well. (Micra aslo provides an awl and wide range of small drivers for screws the bits can reach)

It works and fits, but it needs a locking mechanism. That is something I can't do. So it could work. All they have to do is remove the spacer and extra bit.
