Fake or genuine SOG knife?

Hi,  I have a question for you maybe some might help me clear this out. Ihave recently baught a SOG knife fron a local shop. It had all the right packing and everything but the coating on the blade is not smooth. Looks cheaply made. Has what looks like bumps in the coating. When I asked the owner of the shop he showed me other knifes and alk looked like having the same type of coating problems.

The coating does not look uniform and has sort of bubble marks on it. Can some obe please help me specify if its a fake or not please.

Hello I just bought this SOG Instinct Mini for $6 here in the Philippines. Is this genuine?

I'm not allowed by SOG to discuss wholesale pricing, but I will say that dealer cost on the Mini Instinct is significantly more than $6, so unless your local dealer really likes you, I would be a bit suspect on that one.

I also passed by a legitimate store on the wsy home and it had several brands on really low prices like this SOG. I'm now thinking they were counterfeits...

Hmmm, that is really weird. From looking at the pictures it looks like a legit product.  Although someone selling it for $6 makes me think it’s a fake.  From what I can see in the photos, everything looks to be right. Having stated that without actually seeing the knife it is almost impossible to 100% verify the authenticity of the product. Wish I could provide a more definite answer for you.

And judging by the extremely low prices of the Spydercos, Benchmades, Gerbers, etc., I'd say these are first class Chinese knockoffs?
