How I became a Swisschamp guy
on: July 26, 2015, 06:48:14 PM
For many years I was always the guy that said "anymore then 4 layers was to big and heavy". Today if I don't have my Swisschamp I feel naked. This is how I changed my opinion on bigger SAK's

It started with finding a pre 85 craftsman on the bay.I saw that square Phillips drive and mad a bid of $10 and won it. This thing spent it's life in someone's sock drawer. I would Carry it from time to time and found the extra layers of tools use full (pre 85 craftsman have a fish scaler instead of a pliers). I even used the scaler from time to time. This knife was in to good of condition to carry all the time and started to look for a replacement but I didn't want a Sc it was just to big and I don't need the pliers.

While looking for a replacement got my hands on a Deluxe Climber in a lot of saks I bought. I never used it till one day My Daughter asked for my help cleaning up a rental house. I grabbed the Deluxe Climber and for 2 days I used that little Vic pliers for everything.

That was the day I realized I really need a Sc. It's big it's heavy but worth every oz.
Jeep the SAK of the auto world or is it SAK the Jeep of the Knife world?

I'd like to have one, but don't think I'd carry it all too often.

For a SAK, my Super Tinker has what I want. Not too often I need more, and if I do, I usually have an MT with me.

If I ever get one, I will most definitely carry it, and give it a go at being in my EDC rotation.
