How about "Tomo," which apparently means "friend and companion" in Japanese? Then you can decide later on whether or not to tell your wife you named your daughter after a multitool :D

Hmm I thought I'd had a whole paragraph before my post...I'll blame tapatalk...
Anyway, we're having a baby about the same timeframe, but we're having a boy so I doubt we're using the same name :)  Congrats on your girl!

Congratulations on the upcoming new daughter!

How about Constanze (kone-STAHN-tseh) (German version), Constance (English) or Constanzia (Polish)? Then Stanzi for short.

Constanze was Mozart's wife's name: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constanze_Mozart

Constanze's older sister had a nice name too, Aloysia (ah-low-WEECE-ee-uh) or Louise for short.

I like names that can sound formal and distinguished in their full form, and with nice abbreviations too.

I also like Helena, or Helen for short.

Yeah, I guess I'm old fashioned. Those are all very old names.

Edit: Oooh, I love some of the Greek names in kkokkolis' post a few up from mine!

How about Persephone?

Beautiful sounding name, though she'll spend a lot of her life explaining how to pronounce it!

Actually Cora/Kory/Corinne/Corina was my top pick since forever, but the mom vetoéd it

Persephone means the killer of Persians (popular name after the battle of Marathon). It's a killer name although culturally biased. :)

There was me thinking she was the Goddess of Spring, and daughter of Demeter ;)

Interesting that doesn't crop up in books on mythology. That's a handy bit of info. In fairness I'd never heard the name til watching Firefly :D

you do realise that these sex predicting scans are not 100% accurate and she could end up being a boy, right ?
