Ever since last years giveaway's I've been thinking about getting me one of these beautiful Led Lenser F1's, but something always got in the way.

Last tuesday there was a nice package in my mailbox ...  :mail:.

Wednesday evening a local astronomy club organized an event at the local nature park (a small piece of moorland), to see the meteor shower that night. It was a very nice evening, warm and dry, clear skies ... so we head over there, armed with a picnic blanket and a couple of led lights, the Led Lenser F1 being one of them.

At night, going back to the car through the dark moorland, the F1 was very impressive, to say the least.  The batteries in my Led Lenser P7 and M5 were not new anymore, so it's not really a fair comparison.  But even with new batteries, I believe they are no match for the F1.  The P7 and M5 will probably shine further when you use the focus of the lens, but the F1 just lights up the entire area in front of you, really impressive ...

Once again, a big thank you to Leatherman USA/Led Lenser, and to MTO  :hatsoff:.
