40-45cm at a guess, that would be my Kukris.I do heat up the steel to take the bend out of the leaf spring and to put the Kukri bend in, but I do not count these as forged blades.A buddy can teach me the basics of MIG and TIG, the rest I'm sure I can figure out
Just went thru J Neilson website. He has some really nice pieces. Most if not all are well out of my price range but not all are exorbitantly priced. He is a Master Blade Smith so price does reflect his skill set.
I've always thought the final example of what the smiths were to make was made by either him or Dave.
wearing their clothes fitted but it all looks very uncomfortable for me.
back injury... so he became a blacksmith
Love the show. I wish they would offer full length episodes somewhere where ALL the footage is shown!! Love to see EVERYTHING!!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I was chosen to compete back in February, Last step was getting a medical clearance from my DR. He said no way. I really wanted to give it a try, but he figured I would be one of the ones taken out on a stretcher.

Bummer to hear as I'm sure it was for you too.
It's back and so is the scourge of poorly crafted blades, J. Neilson
@ GG, I sure hope international happens and you get a shot.
