I like the looks of the one without the finish best, but it's a shame that you lose the ruler when the finish is gone.  The pic with the Zippo looks like two well-loved tools.
Yeah, I wish they'd put a clear finish on it with black or white ruler markings. That would be ideal to me. :)

Somehow I've never warmed up to multitools with colored handles.  They just look cheap to me.
How do you feel about the grey ones then?

As far as the Zippo goes... it's only been well loved for about two weeks now. It's got all those scratches and such because it's some new "finish" they have that saves you the bother of worrying about the first scratches. :P I've always carried bics when I want a lighter, but saw that Zippo (and that it was only $10 :P) while I was waiting for the wife at the mall, so I picked it up. :) I have to say, these Zippos are a lot of fun, if not quite as simple as a bic...

Funny that, that was my first thought, but when I saw my first one in the flesh (a Squirt P4) I was pleasantly surprised. My biggest concern is that the anodised finish doesn't seem too robust and seems to scratch up very easily.
Agreed on both counts. And I like the shiny Juice finishes even more.

At least NeitherExtreme has dealt with that little problem :D
I guess I did, didn't I... :P

Here's two more colors I doctored up for the KF4...

This is more of the drab/olive green I was trying for in the first place. Still not perfect though...

And here's one for the secure man...

The grey ones definitely have a higher-quality appearance to me.  That's what I'm going to try to buy if I can find one.

You might like the "Clear" SC2 then:

They only do the SC2 in that finish though, which is a shame as I really like it.

I used to come here a lot.

Yeah, I really like that. :) I wish they'd offer them all in that color, I'd take that over grey anytime...

Isn't it odd that most of the things we like, are not as available as the things we like less  ???

Or, maybe we like them so much because they're not available.

Hmm, that's dangerously close to philosophy for this time of night  :P

I used to come here a lot.

I think we're just picky! :D

And I've always thought late nights were the best time for philosophy. :P Much better than early morning, my cynacism is the first thing to wake up. :o :D

I saw it comming, but oh well... I did give it a bath afterwards, but that was as much do to the algae that got stuck all over the tool and in all the corners. I was surprised how much algae could get in a tool in 15 seconds! And for what it's worth, I've had no rust "problems" with this tool, even with rather sparse upkeep, though I know that might come as a shock to some of you. ::)
