short, and good at giving you shopping ideas
http://iwmagazine.com/2015/07/12-tough-timepieces/
"How many broken timepieces currently litter your top dresser drawer? I’m not talking about quartz timepieces with dead batteries. I mean watches with a cracked case, a dew-obscured dial, a shattered crystal or no crown. If any of these ailments are familiar, perhaps you haven’t been searching among truly tough timepieces that have passed genuine tests of strength and durability.
We’ve gathered twelve watches made to last, either as thick-cased deep divers or made with particularly strong shock-resistance, wear-resistance and/or anti-magnetic qualities. And because everyone should wear something durable on his or her wrist this summer, the watches below include models from a variety of price levels."

Glad to see REACTOR in there. Just a fantastic watch. And of course the Marine Master also is one I would not want to part with.

I'm glad they included some "affordable" watches.....
In my book, $500 is not an affordable watch.

true statement boss. I felt near crazy when I spent $230 on my Rangeman. took three days to convince myself to spend that much on a watch.
I love the watch, but that is high. they are now around $180 on Amazon, which is still high.
If I can help, let me know

It's great to see affordable watches on the list. I'd expect to see the higher priced offering given well their higher price.

My first G cost $75 in the early 90's and I thought that was expensive.
My Orange Monster was a steal at $100.
My Pebble Smart watch was $100.
That's about the most I would spend on a watch unless it was something really, REALLY special.

Can't believe I'm gonna say this but I agree with Grant.
While I do appreciate the higher end timepieces such as Rolex and Omega, my most durable watch was a $50 ish Intertronic that held out through my high school and early roadie/collage days. Only reason why I don't have it any more is because someone stole it.
Still this just proves that I need to try a G-shock
