Been busy working on the bike lift platform
And build and fitted the wheel chock to the platform
Now next is the last strengthening slats that
I need to fit where the wheel chock is mounted
Then I am nearly ready to paint and lay some flooring
And I still have to make a ramp for the platform

Just a question that's popped up: do you have a rear axle stand? Just thinking you might want to use that for longer term storage of the bike, during winter. If yes, you might want to provide some reinforcements to accommodate that.
How high can you lift the platform using your car lift?

Yes I have paddock stands for the bike
And the lift can go about 120 cm high
I am still looking at where I have space to strengthen the platform up
the biggest problem I have are the arms on the lift as they are in the way
As I can only move them a small amount to make anymore space

finally finished with fitting the strengthening slats

There is no other way I can fit anymore now as the arms
and the hydraulic rams are in the way when the platform is lowered

Next I am going to make the ramp for the platform
So I can get the bike on the lift
And then I can start painting the frame work
Hopefully in a couple of weeks I will have the flooring to cover the plywood

I have just got back home and someone
has bought a item I was selling on fleabay
So now I can buy the rubber flooring and 5 cans of adhesive
No need to wait until pay day

Bought some fence paint today to paint the underneath of the plywood platform
Finished painting the first coat of paint and will give it another coat of paint in a bit
This is only to protect the wood from damp weather as it will stay in my workshop
And I will paint the sides of the platform with black paint as that is the only wood
that you can see when the platform is on the lift and being used

I have just ordered ten meters of aluminium angle
to use for the platform to protect the rubber edges
And two m8 eye bolts for the platform to strap
the bike on to when working on the motorbike

Here is a first. The last time I parked my bike away...I somehow left the power on the ignition after taking the key away. End result...my ride today did not happen as my battery is dead. Got it on the smart charger and will leave it there for a couple days. Still can't figure how that happened...but noticed something wrong right away when I inserted my key in the ignition.

No clue but this never happened before. The smart charger I have has the battery looking good now. I love my Optimate6 by tecMATE.
