Bummer, Chako.  I'm impressed that your battery would take a new charge!  :tu:

That's too bad Chako, might of been a fluke that the key came out in the on position, or there could be some wear on the tumblers or key that allowed it

Best smart battery charger I could find. Paid for itself many times over.

I thought the same. Nothing seems wrong with key or ignition. All I know...my ignition was in the on position when I put my key in. My dash lit up right away. Battery had no power to crank the motor over. The smart charger had to desulphate the battery first and then ran the battery through its cycles untill the battery showed good by passing the chargers test cycles. I took the battery off the charger last night.

I have been thinking a lot about the ramp for the motorbike lift
And after trying to make one with plywood board
I wasn’t happy with how much it was starting to way ???
So today I decided to order a aluminium 3ft folding ramp  :woohoo:

These ramps can hold a maximum of 273kg
So a lot more than what my motorbike weighs  :D

The spray adhesive has finally been delivered today  :mail:
So now I am waiting for it to start cooling down
And then I can get started laying the rubber flooring
I have already cleaned the rubber and the plywood platform
But at the moment it’s just too hot over here
to use the adhesive as it would dry up to quickly

Finally started on the platform and removing the rubber on the edges
And drilled the holes through the rubber for the wheel chock bolts

I have just finished sanding the edges of the platform
So that is now ready for painting which I will do later when it’s cooler
And the eye bolts got delivered today so I need to fit them to the platform

Now I am still waiting for the aluminium angle to get delivered
So I can start fitting that to the platform to protect the rubber flooring

Going well Speedy :like:

Have you given more thought to the ramp? Looking forward to what you'll come up with.
Cheers!

Thanks D_T
I have ordered a 3ft aluminium folding ramp :D
I checked the weight the ramp can hold and it is nearly 300kg
the one I was making out of plywood was becoming too heavy  >:(

Here are some pics of the ramp  :tu:

Fitted the eye bolts to the platform so now
I can get on with painting the sides of the platform
And hopefully it won’t be long before I get the aluminium angle
delivered that I am using to protect the edges of the rubber flooring  :tu:

Woohoo...just found this post. Let me introduce my scoot-

I went through some of the posts here. I really like how people are sharing their kit ideas and finds. Being a Harley rider, I was very interested when I found a company selling a complete Harley repair kit online, but was not too happy about the price. Luckily, they listed all the tools included in the kit. I had most of them, but a trip to the store and a few bucks later, I had a complete kit in my saddle bags.

BTW - I have been riding Harleys for years and have heard so many horror stories...some from Harley riders themselves...about their bikes breaking down. I guess I have been lucky...none of mine have had any issues. My biggest problem on the road (on a trip to Arizona) was when I was in Morenci and discovered my seat screw on my 2007 Electra Glide Classic had come loose.
Rather mundane quote entered here to approximate humor.

Agreed. I have been lucky as well. I have only had battery issues in the past...but that only grounds me...and thankfully not strand me.

Nice ride spudley, I've owned Harleys in the past, all Evos and never had a problem, I was out with a friend on the weekend and his Twin Cam Road King dialed up 150,000 KLM the motor has never been touched, looking forward to your adventures
