Get the fibre-reinforced wheels if you can - I use the EZ lock 456 quick change ones - as they're much tougher and less likely to shatter than the 409s.
I'm currently working on modding an Opinel. What I'm looking for is a quicker way to mod the blade to sheepsfoot style, rather than grinding it down on a sharpening stone,as I did with my damaged DAK. I'm starting from the safety/butter knife blade, rather than the standard profile. I don't have the option of any powertool bigger than a Dremel.Any ideas?
Don´t you think it may be worth to spend 20-30 bucks for a small bench grinder from the homedepot? They are not that great as a professional one, but still ..... having any grinder at hand is better than having no grinder.
