Something really special about the 111mm SAKs is that on the three-layer linerlock models the knife blade is in the middle of the handle. Only these and the Solos have that!

Is the glass breaker from the rescue tool interchangeable with any of the other models?

I have also been looking for a 111mm sak but couldn't find one with the toolset that i wanted.

The tools it should at least have are:
OHO blade like rangergrip and OHO trekker with lock and no serrations.
scissors
Philhps screwdriver
flathead screwdriver

I could not find one with those tools, do you guys know if there is a 111mm with those tools?

Was thinking last night that this is exactly what I want! It must happen! :)

Essentially a one handed trekker non-serrated that removes the saw and replaces it with scissors and an inline Philips! (Whether it then has two different Philips OR  puts the corkscrew on the back, I don't mind!).

Ie a 3 layer with:
One handed non serrated liner lock blade
Scissors
Inline Philips
Can opener-screwdriver
Bottle opener-screwdriver with liner lock
Awl on back
Philips OR corkscrew on back
Toothpick and tweezers

Has anyone made one? :) I've seen a mod that seems to add scissors to the trekker; but then it's getting big... :)

Yeah, i really like the concept behind the 111mm but the tool set is just not that good. They have to look at their SAK's and see which models sell really wel like climber and spartan and just put those best selling tool load outs in their 111mm.

I agree that the tool load out hinders the 111mm in becomming a big succes.

The camo one is a Hunter not a Trekker. The slide lock 111mm saw is different from the line lock.

I have a couple, and I love them. But to me, they're strictly special-use/outdoor knives, too big (and to some, scary) for indoor/urban EDC. I keep one with a belt-cutter blade in my car, and if I'm on a sailboat, same kind in my pocket with a 18-inch lanyard connected to my belt (can cut it loose if required). I carry a Trekker-type hiking or camping ... best pocket wood saw.

I like the Eleventy-Ones as a more knife-focused alternative to a multitool on my belt, especially the one-hand locking-blade models. You do give up some MT functionality though.

(Although, I'm still considering having one of our local SAK surgeons build me my dream Eleventy-One, the One-Hand Workchamp! Now, THAT would be worth carrying instead of a multitool.)

Is that a scale swap ?

I've never seen the Hunter offered in camouflage.

Thanks.

A RescueTool joined my humble 111mm SAK collection, though it was destined and delivered to my brother who is a nurse and red cross member and drives a lot. I hope he likes it but never needs the unique functions.
