So, already we have Mini vs Juice vs PST III, and TurboDiesel vs ReBuilt Rebar  :D

To make things a little easier, I'm really not a fan of the Rebar, so that will be having a little bit of rework then be passed on  ;) The Wichard and Toolclip will also be moved on.

That just leaves:
Sideclip
Kick Mod
Diesel Mod
CS4, KF4 & XE6
MP400 Mod
PST I, II, and III
Mini
Balance
Octane Mod
.... and I've already decided I'm keeping the Fuse-ilier  :ahhh

Congratulations on 10k!

I'd keep everything in that shot with the orange tools.

Other than that, probably keep the modded tools and any that have sentimental value.

This thread reminds me that I need to clear out a bunch of stuff too.

That's an older pic. It's got Wave/Charge scissors in now, which work better on that frame  ;)

Shall I reserve this for you if it goes on the sell list then?  :P :D

Another vote for TurboDiesel  :D

Also, I don't get too emotionally invested in tools, and when we get to those categories, my first SAK and first good pliers MT will be considered for sale too (Tourist and Swisstool CS Plus  :ahhh)

The answer is always Vic Farmer. Keep that.

Al is one of those oddballs who doesn't own a Farmer.   We've tried numerous times, all for nothing.  The English can be strange at times......

Meaningless congratulations on the 10k Al.   As for relocating and having to be come more portable, been there, done that, donated the T-shirt to Goodwill.  ;)

We all know you're keeping at least one Wenger Traveller.  It wouldn't be right if you didn't have one.  The question I guess is which Traveler(s) to keep?

Yup! No Farmer here, and all my 93 Alox will be going, unless I keep one to pinch the awl from for a celidor mod  I am keeping my Alox Rambler though  >:D

You see, I have made some decisions, but as to which Traveller to keep  :ahhh :ahhh that's still a work in progress :dwts: I need to get from around 40 SAKs to just 5 or less

So does the Fuse-lier count as one of the three?  I'd keep:

PST III
KF4
Fuse-lier  (or the Mini if we're not counting it anymore)

There's not many anyway. There's just a used black pioneer, and three silver ones - one of each kind with the pruner blade. I just don't like the feel of them, it's difficult to put into words, but they just feel wrong somehow. The 58mm doesn't have the same problem though due to the smaller squares

No real sentimental value. There's some that will be harder to part with than others, but once they're at the PO it gets a heck of a lot easier to get your head around  :D I need to adopt a practical stance rather than an emotional one, so it's not that much of a factor for me  :)

Second Category - Locking Blade Tools:

I think I can dispense with trawling for old pics for these, and most folks will recognise them by name anyway  ;)

Swisstool CS Plus
Spirit X
Spirit RT   *Al's Top Pick*
Charge AL
BO Spirit S
Gerber Grappler
Gerber MP700
Gerber MP400
Gerber MP450
Gerber Diesel (standard stock version)
Schrade Vise Grips LC6
BG Strata/Ultimate Survival Pack
Leatherman Core
Leatherman ST300 Anniversary set with Micra
Original Switchplier
Gerber Fit
Swissgrip

If I'm keeping 3 non-locking tools plus the Spirit RT, is there anything else I should really keep?

I agree with Etherealicer, that Witchard tool looks awesome - it's now on my hit list.

Don't blame you for keeping the "oranges".....  stunning. I'd also keep the mod 600 too!!
And I'd definitely keep the PST's......think carefully mate.

For gawds sake do not let go of the RT!! What the hell are you thinking Al  :ahhh

I think the Schrade Vice Grips would be worth keeping, personally.  Could add some functionality over the Spirit.

To be honest, I was thinking that way myself. Not just for the pliers, but for the bit driver too. I've never actually needed it since I got it, but it the right job arose, I'd have nothing else that can do what that can do. I suppose I'd need to decide if "just in case" is worth hanging onto a tool I could get decent money for.

The PST's "role" is currently being fulfilled by the Sideclip. I am slightly surprised that hasn't had more calls to keep that one actually. As for the Spirit RT, me putting Top Pick is top pick to STAY. Ordinarily I'd just grab the X and the RT has effectively been the spare/back up. If I'm only keeping one though, it has to be the RT, and yes it would get used

Yep, that was my thinking.  Locking pliers and bit driver would make a good backup, bag/car tool.  But you're right, I'm thinking you could get some good money for that one...if you're not carrying it around, you could just keep a pair of locking pliers and a 6 in 1 screwdriver somewhere.

Now I've had a chance to go through your lists, here's what I think you should keep:

UK legal multi
Sideclip - quality pliers, with clip.  More useful than a Mini, as nice as a PST
Diesel mod - was going to suggest Rebar for bit driver but this will have to do instead, and you get the blade exchanger too.
With the Fuse that gives you three different sizes of UK-legal pliers tool.

Locking multi
SwissTool.  It's a SwissTool.
Schrade Vice Grip.  Locking pliers.
Good call keeping the RT.  I'd hang on to the X and BO S too. ::)

84mm
Tourist.  Handy pocket knife, goes well with any multi.  The rare knives would fetch good money and as you're not sentimental about them, let them go.

85mm
Teton.  Boob. :D

91mm
One of the Cybertools for the bit driver.  I'd pick the 41 for the file.
Outdoorsman/Weekender - I know you like the serrated blade.  Which one depends on which size you prefer to carry, I guess.
Explorer.  For the magnifier, mainly - and I prefer it to the Yeoman.  Still small enough to go in the pocket.

Ranger 14, for the scissors.

Alox
Pioneer Harvester.  I know you don't like the Alox as much, but they're a bit more robust than the 91s, and you get the inline awl.  Might as well take the Harvester over the other two for the saw - doesn't add much thickness.

Ah yes, The DEsTroyer... that got destroyed  Well, actually I just nicked the saw from it for the Diesel mod. You know my philosophy on tools, they're tools, and there's no point in me owning it if I'm not prepared to put it to work  :)

Nice work Chris  Nice rationale to those too  :tu:

Just to mix things up slightly, I had considered doing a mod on the 91 line. This would essentially take a CT41 and remove the pliers, add the scales and phillips/light layer from the Voyager Lite, switch the hook from the VL to the CT too as the VL has the nail file, and finally, add in the serrated blade from the Weekender. This would free up both Original Outdoorsman to go back in the wild (though I would be losing the pruner blade for the small clip blade), and have enough left over for a Climber Plus.

I had an idea for creating a mega 84mm too

As to the Harvester, I do prefer it over the Farmer it must be said. There's still the issue of the feel of the scales though, so I'd either have to re-clad it, or try and epoxy fill it
