Shuttle SAK need help to ID
on: August 09, 2015, 04:40:28 AM
Got this after the shuttle Challenger disaster, supposedly it was the model carried on it.  It has a large and small knife blade. A wood saw, metal saw/file, scissors, small screwdriver/can opener combo, large screwdriver/bottle cap opener.  On the back it has a phillips head screwdriver, extra small screwdriver and a leather punch/reamer.  Tweezers, toothpick and keyring. The main blade has " Victorinox, Switzerland, stainless, rostfrei" on one side...the other side has "Officer Suisse" with a plus sign and an umbrella.

The official name is "Master Craftsman". It's still made today for some markets (Japan in particular) including the Space Shuttle inlay on the scales.

Thank you.....just found out it is a discontinued model....no wonder I couldn't find it in the Victorinox catalogue.
