Kershaw Ember review.

Well........ Just like my Preon 1 review from yesterday there is no review. I recieved a defective item. Its a assisted opening flipper. The blade only deploys about 65% and stops completely.  Will have to return this as well.

You mean it'll not open at all?  Or is it just the flipper that won't open it completely?

Maybe they meant for you to assist the blade deployment...

The spring mechanism will not deploy the blade fully open.

I tried loosening the pivot, but when I loosened it even remotely enough for it to work 20% of the time the blade was so far off center it is scratching on the scales.

That's disappointing  and unusual for Kershaw from what I hear.

Very unusual from Kershaw. I have owned countless Kershaws and up until now have only had great things to say about their knives.

You might try a drop of oil on the pivot.  That has helped me in the past with finicky flippers.  I give it a 12% chance of success with your Ember, but maybe its worth a try.

I returned it for a refund.
