The last tool is the second to arrive- Contender #16 showed up yesterday.
This one is absolutely one of those "design over function" type tools that emphasize looks over actual abilities. For example, the nose of the skull is a hex wrench, but not a standard 1/4" (6mm) hex wrench so that you could use it for things like computer case screws or screwdriver bits.
The back side looks suspiciously like the front side with one exception- AOTDDOR is etched into the side. I'm not sure if that is a brand name or if they simply misspelled OUTDOOR when they put it together- after all, English is not the manufacturer's first language by far.
To get an idea of size (and to toss in a shameless plug!) here is Contender #16 next to this month's
Donation Draw prize, a standard 93mm ALOX SAK. As you can see, it is a fair bit of metal, and really the only actual function you are likely to get any use out of with this one is a bottle opener and a flathead screwdriver.
This brings me to the next point- I hate it when multitool manufacturers include multiple flatheads on a tool, although companies like Leatherman, SOG and Gerber at least offer a variety of sizes. Contender #16 has four flatheads and they are all exactly the same size.
If this one cost more than $2 it would certainly not be worthwhile. As it is, I paid $1.92 for this thing and I'm already thinking I got taken for a ride.
