Uh, What?! Thick old German Multi-Tool.

I recently came across this one online, and my only response was--Holy Crap!

I see a whole bunch of redundancies on this thing, but my favorite tool has to be the pinfire revolver.   Sure, those little pinfire guns are so small, they aren't good for anything more than target practice (I've wanted a mini pinfire gun for this purpose for a long time).

It's a display knife. Knife companies used to make these to show their customers what tools they could incorporate into their orders. There are quite a few variations of this posted here on the forum.

In newer times the Wenger Giant follows a similar concept.

None of these were meant to be carried or used, just for shop displays or at factories and fairs.

I could imagine some MTo members would require several blood transfusions if they got anywhere near some of those !

I wasn't aware that Stanley Tools had purchased the knife.Glad to see it is being properly preserved. I remember reading a story about that knife concerning the maintenance of the blades. One person was hired to do nothing but open each blade one at a time;inspect it for rust and remove as necessary;lubricate the pivot and then remove any fingerprints and/or excess lubricant and close the blade. As I recall this process took two weeks to complete. Then I guess they did it all over again.
