Question: Do all the 732 fin models come with the rubber texture scales? I'd rather have the hardened plastic scales the 735 has.

These were the last X-Tract to come out, so I believe they only came with the rubber coated handles. I have not seen one with the plain plastic handles.

Thanks. I will just deal with it. And the pliers.... :bnghd:

My first multi-tool was one of the basic X-Tracts with the blue handle scales. Mine was made back when they still had the Whittaker/Buck logo on them instead of just Buck (maybe all of the basic X-Tracts had that logo, I'm not sure). It's a well made tool. I do remember it being a tad awkward in use, what with the off center drivers and the pliers having one thin handle and one large and heavy handle. It did get the job done, though.

It's a shame it's almost completely unusable by a lefty.

I had one of the LED versions, I happened across it on a stall on Cleethorpe's market (of all places).
I liked it but I was disappointed with the battery cover for the LED, held as it was with a single tiny self tapping screw into plastic which seemed to have stripped it's threads at the factory.
The pliers are limited in scope, but I did like the method of all tools sliding out and locking into place.
Ultimately, due to our UK knife laws and it's liner lock blade I'd never be able to EDC it and so I sold it on.

That was one of the best features! I loved the look of disappointment on my brothers face whenever he asked to borrow mine.
