I'm liking those a lot, the Eland may be a bit on the large side for me, but what the heck I'm going to have to hunt down both!  :salute:

I have the Eland, it's an incredible amount of blade for $11. Sharp as the dickens and feather-light too. Now, it's not exactly a good knife, it's not ergonomic, it's not easily pocketable, there's no clip, and the lock is... idiosyncratic. But it's interesting to have on hand.

Cold Steel made a bigger version of the Kudu?  Not exactly a small knife to begin with.

They are not great knives but they are awesome knives for that price.

The budget winner for sure.
Simple tool for food prep; works well at that task.

About $6 for an original Okapi in carbon steel, $12 here for a Kudu.
It wont rust; I cant get one to anyway.

Just got my eland today. Yes the lock is possibly dangerous. But the thing is just to awesome not to use. I would say for the money, if one is really afraid of closing it, just leave it open and pretend it's a fixed blade. It is super light and crazy sharp. Will definitely be buying the kudu.
