Bumped into a local fisherman last night in the pub  His boat was outside with a nice catch of Mackeral in it  And bless him he gave me a few .
  So at 00.40 this morning when i got in the Swisstool was called into action  These were so fresh they had only just stopped wriggling  Guess what I've got for my meal tonight ? In fact they are under the grill as we speak

Mackerel, as you know, is really oilly and odorous.  It tastes great though, cooked or in sushi.

After using it I left it to soak in the sink and went to bed .3.5 hrs later when I went to work  I took my Signature Swisstool with me  :DLuckily I didnt need to use it on anything to heavy duty .

I've always thought/wondered about using any tool for fish cleaning duty.
I try and use something easy to clean and something I don't care if it stinks.
(as in put away for awhile!)

No nothing fancy , just grilled and served with chips , washed down with a pint of Spitfire Ale     http://www.spitfireale.co.uk/

How bout soaking it in a solution of Baking Soda or vinegar for a bit then washing and relubing that might take the odor out.

No its all sorted now thanks  When I came home I gave it a proper scrub and wash and dried it with a hairdryer and re-oiled it .Its back on my belt and my signature model is back safe in its little drawer
