Some people say football, the one with the round ball, is boring and they have good reasons to think so.

In all rugby games I've watched one thing was prevalent: scrums, every 5 meters *yawwwn*

Still, rugby can be exciting if someone explains you the rules. Personally, I prefer football.

I'm glad I didn't watch the game, some of the comments about a "50 minute 2nd half" made me wonder.....

No matter the size and shape of the ball, its all rather childish anyway

I'm not big on watching sports, the only thing I like is off-road racing and even that I only rarely watch (I rarely watch TV anyway).

Although I plan on watching NZ tomorrow. I've seen the All Blacks play in NZ in a public viewing area and I have fond memories of drinking beer and a good time.

How does one go about drinking a good time  ???  :P

Yeah, I don't watch TV either. I do watch some football from time to time, though, and figure skating.

I'd watch some rugby, too, for it's exotic around here but it's not on the programme.

In Greek the words for game (paignio) and playing (paizo) both come from the word for child (pais). So, in a way, playing means doing what a child does.  ;)

Although, I remember reading about the distinction made between a gamer and a player, one that cannot be made in our language for lack of word for gamer.

I had the best fishing experiences of my life while (feels like) everyone else were sitting around watching other people doing something!
I pity people that make a religion out of being spectators.

I'm actually not a big rugby fan, I think there are WAY too many rules for what should be a very simple game. I find the scrums boring these days.

Ok, it's only a point and I can't quite see it lasting, but it's flipping well done none-the-less. :salute:

The hopes of the whole Northern Hemisphere are resting on our wee shoulders!

Scotland bring it back to within one point and I honestly fear for the condition of my poor heart. :ahhh

The last penalty was devastating robbery >:(

Craig Joubert called "deliberate offside" :sa: although there were 80.000 witnesses at Twickenham and millions around the world that have seen what happened.  :ahhh

Someone has to inform Mr. Joubert that there exist TMO

Too bad for the Scots and Northern Hemisphere  with that said, Wallabies would have been able to made it in those minutes or at least hit a "heartbreaking" drop in last minute, but it has to be done in a proper manner, players have to do it within the rules.

Otherwise, it was a really great QF match, congrats both :2tu: (spoiled >:D by the referee

It was something to be said, so it was said :D
