that is crazy that you can get a Huntsman on Amazon for $33. Victorinox still make the best bang for the buck knives and I don't know how it's possible

$33 is a fire-sale price. That would have me concerned that the product on offer is a counterfeit. However, if it's offered by a reputable seller, it would be an opportunity well worth seizing.

Yeah I have seen that deal a number of times, awesome.
I was pretty happy with the 75$ transparent blue champ from Amazon I scored too, though not quite as good as the $33 huntsman.

These were under $30 last year...sold by Amazon and the real deal. Good price for sure, even at $33.

In Germany, the Huntsman in Red is also 34,99€ on Amazon..  but not all variants..

I would say if you don’t have one yet: catch one, the Huntsman is actually a good SAK , and it’s just about the right size to hold and work whit the blade..
Your SAK is only fully yours, when it bites you, or you opend a Trink of your joice whit it
SAKs i have: Huntsman Light (Red Transparent), Workchamp (Black), Wenger EvoGrip S557 (Red), Swisschamp XLT (Red Transparent).. Swisschamp (Blue Transparent) Cybertool L (Blue Celidor (custom scales) , Huntsman (Black Celidor) , Victorinox EvoGrip S557 (Red, but sadly lost in my house somewhere) Victorinox Delemont S17 and S57 ..  , waiting for: Swiza D09 Blue

Knowing that they're legit, $33 is a fantastic price. The only thing preventing me from buying is the corkscrew. If they offered Fieldmasters at that price, I'd likely pull the trigger.

Big fan of my Huntsman.  Carry it every day at work.  Having both the scissors and the wood saw makes it one of the most versatile Swiss Army Knives ever made.  I would like to pick up the Fieldmaster, though, as I am a big fan of the Philips screwdriver back tool, more so than the corkscrew.  I hold the Fieldmaster above the Huntsman, though I do not have one

By the way:

Hiker $32
Tinker $43
Fieldmaster $49

All above are Amazon prices.  Huntsman at 33 is one of the best deals around.  That begs the question: is the backside Philip's screwdriver so much more expensive to machine than the corkscrew?  Or are so far fewer Fieldmasters ordered that the Huntsman gets the lower price due to bull of sales?

Are they really selling a Hiker for less than a Tinker? Maybe I'm weird, but I wouldn't want to pay more and get less!

Those prices probably reflect the weird Amazon pricing algorithm and/or 3rd party seller prices.

Using a big dealer like Knife Center or SMKW, you can see the standard (MAP) pricing for these models:

Tinker/Spartan: $34
Hiker/Camper: $39
Super Tinker/Climber: $45
Huntsman/Fieldmaster: $52
If the trees blew down the wind and no one was around, would the alphabet song really go backwards?

I hadn't considered that. You're awlmost certainly correct. And I consider the wood saw to be a very worthwhile addition for a small price premium.

Some Fav's: long nail file models, vintage unusual stainless
Quirk: I like the metal file more than the wood saw
