I have been carrying this blue Spartan w/ plus scales today.

Spartan is a fantastic toolset. I prefer it to my Compact, but I do miss the hook.

:like:

I really like the Cobalt blue scales!

This topic thread that usually recurs each Saturday has me wanting to up my Spartan game. I had a single Spartan that I misplaced for a week or two and purchased what was described as a blue scale Spartan that was actually a Tourist. I am very happy with that purchase and went back to look for another true Spartan. It arrived this week but had a bent tip on the main blade. Meanwhile, I had purchased a Standard in wonderful condition. Yesterday, I purchased another used Spartan in like new condition and will probably get a SilverTech Spartan from Amazon.

Meanwhile, here is the Tourist, my original Spartan and a Standard...

Good news is, they're probably the cheapest and easiest model to collect aside from Classics.  :tu:

I've slimmed my Spartan collection down to a humble 13...

I'm thinking slim is good for me since I just hit 30 Explorers and have a dozen Swiss Champs plus I already have 10 Executives thanks to the Chuck Yeager Challenge thread. I've got to keep thinking slim. :)

+1 both really make sense to me esp if you risk losing them outdoors. Never can get my head around camo scales ...

Maybe I do have space in the collection for a white Spartan ...
