:iagree: :like: never did do that type of racing. Was in Atlanta 16 years and didn’t even hit the one there.

Let me be honest there’s a group of us go for fun every now and then. I’ve never raced but riding fixed on the track is a skill all its own
That’s true. Racing isn’t for me. I will ride 50 miles on the Silver Comet Trail and I enjoy it because when I ride, I’m looking at everything, resting at some of the stops, nature, etc.

I'm in lol, although mine is just a standard red :( I do love it. Only thing missing for me is scissors, but I also carry my classic on my key ring so that's kinda taken care of. I always research stuff deeply before buying so I never experience buyer's guilt.
The Spartan was really the one for me, smaller, lighter than other serious SAKs and I actually find myself using the can opener frequently even in my urban setting. It rocks. But I wish it wasn't red :P
The only tool I never use is the awl. But I still kinda like that it's there. When do you guys use the awl, out of curiosity?
-Sporky

Edit: I really like all the pics with string/rope attached to the keyring. Though it seems to me like my 550 paracord is way too large for this purpose. And it's an ugly bright orange :P

Don't feel bad that your Spartan is classic red (not at least if you just hate red and really wanted other color that is)...  :-\
I have an obsession with the classic red's since early childhood (over 40 years ago... ), of the about 40 Sak's i have, 96% of them are classic red. For me it just have to be, even tho i like the other colors, it just dosn't really feel quite like a Sak to me if they are not red. Can't explain it, but it's just that way for me...
The only color i'd maybe consider EDC other than red are the white ones, as i like them a lot too. Must get a hold of some white scales...

I love the awl, a sak feels incomplete to me without one. I use it to make/poke holes on stuff basicaly. It's just like a little dril bit if used properly. I make extra holes on my leather belts with them all the time  :D

I'm not skilled at it, ut my wife can actually see with it.  I use mine more as a punch, but then again the Huntsman I carried exclusively for over 30 years predated the sewing eye.
