Show us your Zero Tolerance Knives
on: September 24, 2015, 02:39:44 PM
Seen a few people with ZT knives posting pics. Figured we could have a thread dedicated to showing them off like we do for Benchmades and Spydercos.

Couldn't find an existing thread, so created a new one.

I'll kick it off with my ZT0770 in Carbon fiber with CPM M4.

Kinda surprised to see only one 0350 and no 0300 series yet

Love the beefyness of my ZT but it is not much of a slicer.

If I find the time I will break out the EPA tomorrow and try to get it sorted.

Will get some more pictures too as this is the only one I have atm.

I had to ask

Slicer or not, it's still not something that couldn't be trusted even with dumb use. Although, how do you carry it without a dedicated harness is beyond me    (Mostly 'cause I feel a much lighter Tenacious in my pocket)

Guess I am just use to carrying a lot of gear from my years in the military. Hardly notice it in my pocket.

Of course I like my Spydies far better. Not near as heavy and plenty strong.

ZT does make some interesting knives. They're wise to have commissioned established knife makers to design some of their knives for production.

Here is one that I found interesting, sturdy and fun to open.It was designed by Todd Rexford and I believe the assigned designation is 0801.

as far as I know ZT is a subsidiary of KAI together with Kershaw and Shun. They mostly do collaborations with other makers and designers Like Ken Onion (0300 series), Rick Hinderer, Ernest Emerson, etc. There was a bit of a controversy some years back as they removed one name from a collaboration from the aforementioned 0300 series, and that was Mick Strider.

The relationship in the collaboration knives is that higher end collabs are made by ZT and more lower end, inexpensive are made by Kershaw as a part of their value line

I am guessing no, ZTs are built like tanks.
