A pice of MTO History .. now with me...
on: September 24, 2015, 11:43:01 PM
A piece of MTO History finally made it to me... I think this has shown more MTO spirit than all branded tools in total and I am proud to have it part of my collection.

In 2013 lowtech bought it off eBay from a collector
In January 2014 Lynn LeFey (calling it the perfect tool) bought it off lowtech as birthday present
In January 2014 gregozedobe wanted it too, but lowtech supplied a replacement
In October 2014 Lynn LeFey sold it to Felinevet
In January 2015 it was offered by Def as monthly Giveaway prize, but unfortunately the quote wasn't met so he gracefully offered it to me for a fair sum to be put in the forum budget - which I did not have at the time so I had to pass on the chance
In July 2015 zoidberg offered an SOG for the giveaway, which turned out to be this very same TiNi one
In July 2015 the wonderful (love you, man) ColoSwiss who won the GAW agreed to pass it on to me for a simbolic sum (did I mention I love you man?  :pok:)
In September 2015 it finally is here... a glorious, golden cog in the MTO factory. Corwyn owns this beauty and will hopefully never have to give it up

I'll give my opinions on the tool itself soon. If I missed some parts of it voyage, feel free to chime in.

Welcome to the Tini club. Amazing that the history of that tool was tracked in such detail.  :tu:
A little Leatherman information.

We're revamping the site and you should write a little story/blog post about this tool!

One small correction in your story- it was not sold to Felinevet, I bought it and had it sent to Felinevet rather than pay extra to have it come to Canada.

Glad it finally made it to you!  :D
