Recruit Scales
on: October 16, 2015, 12:14:33 AM
Hey everyone, I have a Victorinox Recruit that I ruined the scales for. Would any 84mm scales work for it? And if so, where could I get the scales? Thanks!

It probably depends on where you live.

I've seen 84mm scales of various colors available from European dealers starting at just a couple of Euros.  I haven't had one respond back to me yet about shipping to the US.

I haven't found much available in the US and what is available like cheaper looking nylon scales are higher priced like $10 ~ $12.  You can buy a new Recruit for not much more.  I saw a new Recruit today at a Field & Stream store for $20.

You need 84mm scales with no rear cutout. These are what you need.

They are sold by a member here and are some of the best prices you'll find.

You can find new Recruits @ Lowes for $15.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.
