Tang Stamp Question
on: September 28, 2015, 11:33:54 PM
Hello, Swiss Army Knights.

Just got a used Trailmaster.  I was wondering, do you guys know what this tang stamp means?  Is DE Germany?

Thanks!

I tried to ask this over at SOSAK but knifeforums is just about unusable today  ::) and I cant get nothing out of it .

My question is do all Vic Foresters and those like it in the range have DE-GM 9305297 on the back of the blade tang ?
  I know it stands for a German patent of something but just wondered if it was on every model .

Dunc

Direct from Mr. Elsener:

"DE-GM / 9305297 = It's the term of our German registered design of the locking mechanism:

DE = Deutschland / Germany

GM = Gebrauchsmuster / registered design

93005297 = number

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely

It is not on every knife however. I have seen Foresters, Rucksacks, etc. with and withouy the designation, Tim.
