What else can we cram into scale's tool slots?
on: October 02, 2015, 01:13:50 AM
Title says it all.
The pen slot on my beaters plus scales now house a piece of 2.5mm brass I turned into a knot detangler/poker. It works great! Well after some filing, sanding, and peening.

I want to replace my toothpick with...something. I have no use for it while doing yard work, and was wondering what can easily take it's place?

I'm dangling a Signature off my ID lanyard and have often thought of replacing the tweezers/ toothpick with something I can use for my eyeglasses.  I get to turn more eyeglass screws than find use for the toothpick/ tweezers combined.

Ive seen pen refil cartridges from Office Depot stuffed into lightly modded standard cellidor scales in the place of the tooth pick.
Someone else stuffed a tiny suture kit into their toothpick slot too

I've been meaning to play around with getting a mini driver bit in the toothpick slot.  (Maybe reversible like the Leatherman Wave   ) But I haven't gotten around to it.
