Lovely northen landscapes. No wonder why "English" garden architecture is so popular around the world.

In the Country Park,I followed a few paths I'd not been down before,to reach this! Time to turn around for home I think

Great pics and commentary Kirky!

Is Box Hill the same site of the famous motor bike race up it?

I remember a band called 'Dumpys Rusty Nuts' had a song called 'Box Hill or Bust'

I'd love to take a mini bike tour down that way :)

I've done the Thames-Down Link on the bike before, good fun,but you don't get the same time to look around you. If you linked it to a run down the North Downs Way to Guilford,it'd make a really good ride

I don't know about any formal races, but it's popular for Sunday breakfast runs

Last bit to cover is the crossing of Tolworth Court Farm meadows up to Tolworth Station, and my bus ride back to Blamington Hall

By now,we've walked back up on to the Hogsmill again

Tolworth Tower,on the horizon of this pic,is the only high rise in the Surbiton area. It's not that visible in this photo, but it's built in the style of 70s Brutal

I don't know what it is about this wood pile, but it makes me think of the remains of a long dead beast,or a dragon

Tolworth Station was built by the Southern Railway back in the '30s. It's one of a cluster of stations in my area that are heavily influenced by the Art Deco movement

Needs a lick of paint though

I hope you all enjoyed this look into wilderness in London's back garden :tu:
