Quotes with photos

I've noticed that when someone quotes a post containing photos they sometimes appear in the quote and some other times we get the message Image removed from quote.

I was just wondering if this is erratic or if there's a pattern behind selection of photos that do appear.

If it's a pure image link like this

[img] ... [/img]
then it gets removed from a quote.

But lots of us use hosting sites that give the image nested in a URL (e.g. flickr and photobucket), so you can click through to the source, like this:

Code: [Select]

[url][img] ... [/img][/url]
These don't get removed by the forum software.

although it appears someone else beat me to the answer, we implemented this due to the repeat embedded quote thread lengths... you can just click the (Image removed from quote) link to see the image if you don't want to scroll up to the original post.

Thanks. I like this implementation, all that massive re-quoting was annoying

I know you can click on Image removed from quote, that's not what I asked, however.
