A mixed marriage !
on: August 19, 2008, 07:44:51 PM
I have found that a old skool Leatherman tooladapter (not the one for the Supertool 200 ) interoperates well with the Vic. Spirit an Swisstool. For those of you not aquainted the build quality is very high , it takes 1/4 hexbits , and will work straight , 90 or 45 degrees. It fits easily in the pocket without a lot of easily lost bit and pieces.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for that information. Any chance of a few pictures so we see it all together? That would be great. If you can't that's ok too, I mean it is good info.

that old school adapter fits actually in quite many traditional mt´s,except sog due to its gears.

Is the "Old School" tooladapter out of production?

Will either of these work?

Andy , I don't know whether the oldtool adapter is still made . Any of the models you describe should do the trick , in one case you need to grind off a spur that engaged a notch in the handle of the old supertool. The adapter themselves were of stellar quality ,and arenot tobad for hand use as a stubby.

Is this the one you are referring to?

Universal Tool Adaptor

In the above link I have a list of multitools I have personally tried it with.  I suppose as my collection grows I should add to it!

Of course they would be my first choices as they are sponsors. :D Now, what I like about those adapters is that they appear to center the bits, which makes turning screws much easier. Hmmmm, my wheels are turning. Wonder if I could modify a ratchet type screwdriver to fit on there. Looks like a pin that allows for the various angles, but I bet I could figure something out. Coolio!

Maybe modify a SaberTooth Ratchet T-Driver.

And they have the chrome version on clearance sale.
