Skeletool at Home Depot - $29.88
on: October 21, 2015, 08:00:48 PM
An article posted by my second favorite tool site (Toolguyd) showed a holiday display of Skeletools at Home Depot with the price point of $29.88.

http://toolguyd.com/leatherman-skeletool-multi-tool-deal-home-depot-h2015/

I've been in a couple of Home Depots lately and did not see this display in either one.  Most of them are probably waiting a few weeks before putting all of their holiday displays on the floor.

Per the article the SKU: 1001-480-750

This means they'll be $20 or $15 after Christmas if Home Depot has any left.

By the way I love that site. It's my favorite cause it covers more than multi-tools and I like the format and product focus.

Whoa. It would be cheaper by a country mile to have one shipped from the States or Canada.

Checked my Home Depot and no Skeletools. I really hope they do this here as I have been wanting a Skeletool lately and am not going to pay $50.

Home Depot in Norfolk VA has bunches.  I finally picked one up. Been wanting one for years but not wanting to pony up the $45 (online) or $65 (store) price.

That's how I felt. For such a limited tool set $50 was out of the question. But the sale price makes it irresistible. Maybe leatherman is starting to listen

Sadly that's not the case. They do this once a year at Home Depot with a selected model.

I didn't see them last year. Maybe the ones by me skipped them. O well, it still makes a  good haul. :multi:

I picked up two this morning.  Great presents if I decide to give them away.

No need for one so I went out and got one.  Added a little oil and working it in while watching the Walking Dead from last Sunday.

Thanks for spending my money for me.

I broke down and picked one of these up today and am pretty happy with it except it came very dull. I had to spend a little time with the diamond stone to get it up to par. This will be carried in addition to my MP600 - clipped inside my pocket. I also have been carrying my Buck 110 but I have a feeling the Skeletool will be my goto for general cutting tasks.

What's sad about this whole thing is this is supposed to be some incredible sale price yet it's what the normal retail should be, IMO...

I agree. I wouldn't pay more than $30. For such a limited tool set anything higher is unreasonable. The juice is another one. $60 for an S2 is steep. I always carried my skele with the carabiner. Light and easy access.

I returned my two.  The displays are still well stocked.  After Christmas they will probably be marked down.
