Yet another Lego Advent Calendar!  :ahhh  For some reason we really struggled to buy one this year.  All the big shops and on-line places were sold out weeks ago.  Happily we tracked one down to a small Argos store hidden down a small ally in a nearby town.

I think I love the Star Wars Advent Calendars as much as any set - As the designs are just so clever - They really look like the real thing.

And just think - You can build a MF in eight pieces compared to 8,000 for the Collectors Edition

Although this is our first year without a Lego Advent Calendar -  :(   

We did the Harry Potter one last year - That was pretty good too

With the BB8 jumper I'm assuming this is Poe Dameron. With my wife, daughter and myself all being left handed it looks like, in this house at least, Poe gets to be a lefty too.  :D

So today I checked the websites again.
3/4 stores changed from "out of stock" to "no longer available"

I noticed I didn't have a bookmark from one certain store, since yesterday it appeared they didn't have the calendar anyway.

I decided to have a look again on that website to make sure and used some different keywords in the search bar.
Success; found the calendar listed.
"Online out of stock, click here to check store stock"
So clicked "here", entered the postal code and noticed all stores in a 60km radius were sold out except for one that said "limited stock left"

That one store, is in a city where I have to work today, and is 300m from my jobsite.
Can that be called coincidence??

The store opened at 10am, so drove by quickly and made sure I was a little early.
Traffic was busy and somehow it felt as if everyone was heading to that store all of the sudden.
I arrived 10min before opening time, and noticed people coming out with purchases!! :ahhh

Tried to get in quick, but the elderly lady in front of me took the time to desinfect her cart in the middle of the entrance :facepalm:

In store I had to follow the designated walk-around... Obviously behind the same elderly lady. Aaaargh!

Managed to reach the Lego dept. and went on the hunt.
Took me about a minute before I spotted the calendar. Last one!! :woohoo:
One row further... Another one?!
Edition 2018, also Star Wars, in clearance, 50% off...

I guess I'll have 2 hatches to open every day now, and 6 tonight :ahhh

I dug out my old Lego for my son to play with, we’re having a ton of fun with it. His uncle sent him a City advent calendar, looks like that will be lots of fun too.  :woohoo:
