I'd buy that just to make the taco.

I can't find the other brick thread, but Farmer's post with the taco reminded me of a kit I made for my wife before she retired.

That little burger is pretty neat! As for the gift guide... let's just say the Brick Nerd would label me a "purist."

My daughter got this Millennium Falcon kit for Christmas.  Not one of the super large scale ones but should be fun none-the-less.  This is still going to be a few days in the making.

That's the Falcon finished.  Nice build with some good detail but, if I'm honest, not quite as sturdy as some other things we've done.  Fun though.

It certainly looks pretty darned good to me!  It’s great to see that you and Junior have spent this much time working on it together!

I've seen a number of great alternative builds for that set

https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-201349/Tomasso/75375-alternate-3-in-1-bundle-outrider-razor-crest-ghost/

I'd seen the Razor Crest but not the other two!  The Ghost is particularly cool.

I don't want to admit it ('cos we can't possibly be that old) but "junior" is 19 years old.  I'm just grateful that she still wants to take pity on dear old Dad and help me with Lego. :D

I nearly bought the set because of the razor crest build... seems more reasonable than the other official sets

I got a little case of FOMO recently. This one won't be assembled until I have a better (read: cat-proof) work area.

Finally got around to doing the last couple of bags on the Tantive IV.  Now I just have to work out where I'm going to put it.

For now, I keep my Legos unassembled in freezer bags stashed in a large tote. That will change if I have a dust-resistant cabinet in which to display them. Cats are a more obvious reason for my storage method.

The card pictured below was included as a little bonus with a recent Bricklink order. I know little about it except it's German and I think Gareth will appreciate it.

MTSAK told me via PM that his son likes monster trucks and has developed an interest in Lego vehicles. So these photos are posted with him in mind.

First we see two small Speed Champions sets: the McLaren Elva and a McLaren F1 car. I believe these are only made for one year. Both can be found on Bricklink for little money, especially the F1 car (which was released last year). I'll seek out a sealed Elva so I can have one with the labels applied nicely. Luckily I found an easy way to apply them much better. ;)

In the second photo are two Creator sets: the Rock Monster Truck and the Green Cruiser. The Rock Monster is a small set packaged in a polybag. The Green Cruiser is a larger 3-in-1 set. I probably won't be building the semi tractor or boat; the little sports car is that cool. I have started to really like the Creator sports cars. Both of these sets are discontinued, but can still be found at reasonable prices on Bricklink.

MadPlumbarian posted an alternate build of this set (which he reworked a little) a while ago. Here is the main model. The third set of instructions is for an F1/Indy car.

That's so impressive.  I've always been a fan of both franchises but, sadly, I don't think my daughter has ever watched Trek.  :-\

given all the reboot stuff and more, it's hard to believe.

I know we're not like the TNG,DSN,Voyager glory days, but there's a staggering amount of new trek stuff I have yet to digest, or only partially since it isn't reruns on TV 6 hours a day every day

Here are a couple of Lamborghinis from the Speed Champions line. Chako previously showed the Countach. The one at right is the Lambo V12 Vision Gran Turismo (how's that for a mouthful?).

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

It is worth noting that my sample of the Countach has adhesive labels that are printed on a clear background. I strongly suggest using tweezers when applying them. That shouldn't be an issue for this group. :D While I like the Speed Champions sets, they have a lot of parts that are transparent, small, and/or decorated. I've gone through a lot of small zipper bags while storing such parts.
